Betty Benson was born April 7, 1927 in Verona, ND, the daughter of Edwin and Anine (Peterson) Benson. She graduated from LaMoure High School and the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Home Economics. She taught at Mott, ND. On October 12, 1952 Betty married Robert "Bob" Ault in Verona. They made their home in Jamestown. Betty worked at the Anne Carlsen Center for Children and for several years as a program coordinator for Alpha Opportunities.
Betty was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years, the church circle and P.E.O.
Betty is survived by her husband, Bob, Jamestown; son, Charles Ault, Bismarck; son-in-law, Jim Lambert, Fosston, MN; and three grandchildren, Anine, Lillie and Mary Lambert.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carla; two brothers and three sisters.
