Born to William Roy and Mary Sybil (Lock) Bennett August 13, 1949 in Joiner, AR. She was a member of Joiner Baptist Church, enjoyed being a great cook for everyone, singing, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Danny Ray and Little Johnny.
Survivors include husband of 49 years Melvin Shempert; daughter, Michelle (Bill) Shempert Shannon; two sons: Steve (Christy) Shempert and Kenneth (Melinda) Shempert; five grandsons: Dalton (Naomi) Shannon, Neal Shannon, Connor Shannon, Dillion Shempert, Drake Shempert, ; five granddaughters: Ashley (Zach) Hill, Stephanie Shempert, Lauren Shempert, Sydney Shempert, Mallory Shempert; four great-grandchildren: two brothers: Roy Bennett, Jr., and Sam Bennett; four sisters: Jackie McClelland, Ilean Warhurst, Marilyn Aderholt, and Elesia Jones and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 6-8 PM at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Memphis, AR. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday January 27, 2017 at Joiner Baptist Church. Burial will be at Louise Chapel, Joiner, AR.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Louise Chapel Cemetery Fund.
