David Parker Bennett, Age 83, of Alamo, TX. formerly of Forest Lake, Minnesota, peacefully passed away on Dec. 25, 2006.
Born Nov. 16, 1923, in Minneapolis to Howard and Iness Bennett, attended Central High School. Proudly served our country in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign during WWII. David was part owner of the Our Own Hardware store at the Hub Shopping Center in Richfield. He studied Industrial Electronics at Brown Institute, where he was the oldest student, graduating second in his class. He retired in 1980 from the Honeywell Aeronautical Division where he was involved with testing and inspections of mission critical instruments and components for the NASA space program.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Doris Mae (nee) Trisler, children, Barbara (Keith) Fagan, Steven (Diane), Susan, Anthony (Heidi), 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing, archery and boating.
Memorials/donations suggested to the American Lung Association. Interment followed by a private ceremony at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
