Jim Bob was the son of James and Jimmie Mae (Price) Bennett. He married Martha Stovall February 17, 1968 in Graham. Jim Bob graduated from Graham High School and attended TCU and North Texas. He was a rancher and oilman and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
