* Died in Rochester. '
* Sodas Center, Dec. 2a—-The remains of
Mrs. Clark T. Bennett were brought to
Sodus Center today from Rochester, where
she died yesterday. The announcement of
her death came as a shock. Mrs. Bennett
was at a private hospital, where an
operation was performed for an internal
abcess. It was "believed she would recover,
but a relapse resulted and death
came suddenly.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Huron fifty
four years ago, and lived in this town a
large portion of her life, having become
the bride of the well known local merchant.
She was active In church work, being
a member of the Sodus Center Presbyterian
Church, and was one of the officers
of the Ladies' Aid Society for many years.
Those who survive are the husband; a
daughter, Miss Lulu P. Bennett, and a
son, Ross V. Bennett; her mother. .Mrs.
Samantha Proseus, and a sister, .Mrs. C.
M. Clapp, of North Rose.
