Mrs. BERTHA MAY BENNETT, 315 North Potomac Street, died at Springfield State Hospital Wednesday evening after an illness of four years and eight months. She was 91. She was born in Shenandoah, Va., the daughter of Henry Clay Reynolds who died in 1941 at the age of 103. She was the widow of Alexander Bennett.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, the Eastern Circle, and for years served as chair mother.
She is survived by daughters, Miss Alice Bennett, Rye, NY; Mrs. Eleanor W. Acker, Miami, Fl.; Mrs. Elizabeth Cannon, Hialeah, Fl., and Mrs. Nita Furlong, Washington, DC; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by the Suter-Routzer Funeral Home.
