Young Mother is Survived by 3-Year-Old Daughter
Mrs. Bertha Benner of this city died at 9:20 o'clock last night at McCormick Hospital following an operation last Thursday.
She was 24 years of age and is survived by a 3-year-old daughter, Helen Maurine; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. U. B. James, south of Huntsville; three sisters, Mrs. Zula Coates of Moberly and Misses Edna Belle and Junie James of Huntsville; four brothers, George and Willie James of Decatur, Ill., Homer of Huntsville and Ira of Salt Lake City, Utah.
The body was taken to the home of her parents last night. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.
