HUGO, Okla. -- Abel Belvin, 72-year-old Choctaw Indian died at his home on Rt. 3, Boswell, Wednesday. Earlier in the day, he had told a neighbor that he was sick and the neighbor volunteered to go to town for some medicine. When the man returned, he found Belvin dead on the porch of his home. The examining physician attributed death to natural causes.
The funeral will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Good Spring Church, southwest of Boswell, the Rev. Jacob Jeffers to officiate and Bingham Funeral Home will make burial there.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen Belvin, Smithville, and Jones [sic] Belvin, Kennewick, Wash,; a sister, Mrs. Ella Lawrence, Rt. 3 Boswell, and these stepchildren: Simon Belvin and Mrs. Annie Perry, Boswell, and Miss Sarah Belvin, Elgin, Kan.
