Mr. David Lee Bellafant age 87 of Columbia died Thursday February 21, 2013 at NHC.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 12:00 til 1:00 pm at First Missionary Baptist Church with sett vices to follow at 1:00 pm at the church with Rev. Kenny L. Anderson, Sr. eulogist. The body will Lie-in-State Tuesday from 11:00 am till 6:00 pm at V.K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home.
Interment is in Rosemount Cemetery.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Luther and Mary Bellafant. He received his education in the Culleoka School system and was a longtime employee at Columbia Mill and Elevator and was also employed at Lewisburg Casting Co. and WalMart store in Columbia until his retirement. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Rueben Crutcher.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings Hattie, James,
Stella, Tommy, Luther, Bertie, daughter and son Mary Hunt and James (Jimmy) Talor; and grandson Timothy Hunt.
He is survived by his loving and very, very devoted wife Eva Estella Taylor Bellafant; children Brenda Matthews, Johnny Lee Bellafant, Birdie Lou Bellafant Hardison, Jerry Lane Bellafant and Estalatha (Jerry) Houston; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, sisters Helen Cordy Lee Davis, Leanne Brooks and Virginia Williams; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
