Clark "Tapjack" Bell, Jr. age 88 of Bolivar, passed away Monday morning, February 16, 2015 at the Pointe Lookout Nursing and Rehab in Hollister, MO after a long illness.
Tapjack was born on April 23, 1926, in Cabool Missouri; the son of Clark Bell and Maggie (Stephans) Bell. He was raised on a farm with his three siblings; Ann, Ed and Andy.
In 1942 Tapjack went to the U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, He spent many years in the services. He later retired in 1973 in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He was very proud of his time in the Military.
In 1973 he went to work for Kempco Coporation, Spraying high line brush and later went to work for Town & Country Lumber Yard in Bolivar. He then spent several years working for GR Farms taking care of cattle until he started raising cattle of his own.
For many years Tapjack had only one companion, his dog, Speckles; until his passing in 2007.
Tapjack is preceded in death by his Parents, one brother; Ed Bell and one sister Ann Wilson and her husband Estes.
Surviving is one son; Clark Bell III; one brother Andy and wife Najla.
Gravesides service at Missouri Veteran Cemetery in Springfield, MO.
