Obituary

Thomas E. "Tom" Bell, of Allen, TX passed away peacefully on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the age of 89. He was known and loved by his family and friends for his generosity, loving heart and often humorous, yet sage wisdom. Born and raised in Tennessee, he moved to Texas after serving in the United States Navy and married his first wife, Joyce Hunt and had three children. He worked and retired from Randolph A.F.B. where he was a uniquely skilled machinist making military aircraft parts. Always having a love of travel and adventure, he and his wife, Hattie Mae Bell enjoyed their retirement years, traveling across the country in their GMC motor home. The family benefited from their travel experiences and photos. Never one to know a stranger or say, "no," when asked, he made friends easily and deeply and was loved by many.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Mae Bell.

He leaves behind a family who will always cherish their special memories of his generous heart. He is survived by his children, Arlene Johnson, Sylvia Bradshaw and husband Alan, and Thomas Bell Jr. and wife Kelley; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and brother, Larry Bell.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
