Perry L. Bell Sr., 86, of Seguin, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2013. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday. Dec. 9, 2013, at Goetz Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the funeral home with interment following in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with military honors presented by the United States Navy Honor Guard.

Perry was born in Leesville, Texas, to the late O.A. and Annie Bell. He served at the end of World War II with the United States Navy. Perry ran his own welding shop, B and W Welding, for many years; he also was a foreman for the Guadalupe County Road and Bridge Department-Precinct 1 until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, which he passed down to all of his family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lucille Bell; daughter, Nelda Jean; son, Perry Lynn Jr.; a grandson, Jonathan Allen Beicker; brothers, Clifford, Jack and David Bell; and sisters, Dorothy Moseley and Doris Bell.

Survivors include his daughters, Nancy Bush and her husband, Jimmy, Barbara Beicker and her husband, Jeff, Shirley Owen and her husband, Robert; grandchildren, Tracy Mayfield and her husband, Jackie, Waylon Bell and his wife, Cassie, Wendy Rhea and her husband, Kevin, Jason Beicker, Jennifer Schulze and husband, Eric; great-grandchildren, Kayla, McKenzie and McKade Mayfield, Perry, Raylee, Sawyer and Luke Bell, Ethan and Kaitlyn Rhea,and Garrett and Colby Schulze; brothers, Pete Bell, Wayne Bell, and Vernon Bell; sister, Fay DuBose; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
