Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth K. Vernon, formerly well known in Louisville, who died Friday at the residence of her son-on-law, Col. W. P. Evans, U.S.A. retired, at Atlanta, will be held at Pearson's Chapel at 9 o'clock this morning. The burial will be in Cave Hill cemetery. The pallbearers will be James E. Williams, J. L. Smith, Frank C. Carpenter, W. C. Wormald, W. V. Noad, and F. L. Noad. Mrs. Vernon is survived by her daughter at Atlanta and two sons, William S. Vernon, connected with the Pension Department at Washington, and Edward H. Vernon, of Omaha, Neb. Mrs. Vernon was a member of one of Louisville's oldest families and the widow of the late Edward H.
