With great sadness, the family of Adelina Bejarano announce her death on February 7, 2011. Born in Socorro, Texas, on October 12, 1923 to Andres and Rosario Saenz, she had six sisters and two brothers. She married in 1955 and was a devout mother to her two daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joaquin Bejarano. Throughout her life, she was generous, and kind to her family and her beloved pets. Her strong spirit and witty sense of humor will be greatly missed. She taught us to love God, the value of work, morals, and, most of all family. She is survived by her daughter Elena, granddaughter Amy and grandson-in-law Ruben Alarcon, her daughter Sylvia and son-in-law Mitch Ayala, and grandchildren Lena, Sara, Katy, and Aramis Joaquin. Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina. Vigil Service will be Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. Rite of Committal will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. She will be dearly missed. Directed by Hillcrest Funeral Home. 1060 Carolina Drive. 598-3332.
