Son, Henry, is at Petersburg Cemetery.

Johannes aka John Beight settled in woods behind cemetery with his father, John Beight Sr. in a windowless cabin. Two men came up from Maryland about 1801. John's father, John Sr is probably buried in woods.

From Phil Camptell 10/3/2013
According to the Twentieth Century HIstory of Youngstown

WILLIAM BEIGHT merchant who has been established in the mercantile business at New Middletown since 1887 was born on the old Jonathan Beight homestead in Springfield township Mahoning County Ohio January 11 1866 and is a son of Jonathan and Bietta Lipp Beight The Beight family came to Springfield township among its earliest pioneers John Beight the great grandfather with his son John (Our Yohannes) Beight came from Hagerstown Maryland in 1802 and located in Springfield township ship where he secured about about a half section of land from the government paying $1.25 an acre The land was cleared enough at first to enable the father and son to build a log cabin of the most primitive description without either windows or floors This structure stood on the farm for many years Grandfather John Beight married a member of the Rhodes family also pioneers jonathan Beight father of illiam was born on the Beight land but on a farm adjoining that on which his son was born in December 1828

I believe that farm is right behind Old Springfield Cemetery. If this is true, where is John Sr., "Yohannes" John Beight's father?? In the woods or in the cemetery?

question:
Do we know where her father, George Rhoads, is buried at? He died in 1841 in Springfield Township, I could not find him anywhere.

Juliana married John Yohannes Beight. Been trying to track down more information about this family down in Washington County, Maryland. If these historical sketches are true, these are very early settlers of Springfield Township.

Btw, I ordered a document from 1803 about an early court case in Springfield Township, Columbiana County, Ohio regarding a passing of a mill worker. I will get the names and scan it for you as soon as it arrives. 10/9/13
