Donald E. Beghtel of Gainesville, FL and former resident of Bradenton, FL passed away on December 8th at Haven Hospice House in Gainesville.
Don was born on March 6, 1928 in Huntington, IN and moved to Bradenton in 1973. He was a lead mechanic for Manatee County School Board and retired from there in 1993. His retirement years were spent in Gainesville and Roscommon, MI. Don served his Country in the USMC during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Bayshore Church of the Nazarene in Bradenton and enjoyed fishing and wood working.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Mary; sister Fern Roof and brothers Carl and George Beghtel. Don is survived by his wife Marlene, two sons, David (Susan) and Mark Beghtel of Bradenton; step sons Randy (Margo), Rick and Mark (Melonie) Richardson of Roscommon MI.; step daughter Kimberly (David) Pennuto of Ocala; twin brother Walter (Norma) of Huntington, IN and several grand and great-grandchildren.
The services and burial will be held in Ellenton, FL. At Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park
