DECATUR - Leotha Mae Beeson Adcock, 86, of Decatur went home to be with her Lord at 8:20 p.m. Friday (Dec. 25, 1998).
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Third United Methodist Church, Decatur, or Decatur Memorial Hospital Hospice, Home Care.
Mrs. Adcock was born in Pana on Dec. 13, 1912, the daughter of Henry W. and Maude Sickles Beeson. She retired from Tolly's Markets BBQ Department after working for them for 15 years. She was lifelong member of Third United Methodist Church. She was a member of Eagles 507 Auxiliary for 58 years and was a president and past president of the auxiliary. She was also a member of the Moose and VFW. She married Floyd N. Adcock on June 4, 1927. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1983.
She is survived by one son, Darrell Adcock and wife Jean of Sullivan; daughter-in-law, Shirley Adcock of Decatur; sister, Joanne Sutherland of Delton, Mich.; grandchildren, Donna Adcock, Shirlene and Mike Wilkin, Tom and Robyn Adcock, Shane Adcock, Robbin and Bill Sheets, Heather and Mike Collins, all of Decatur; Brett and Linda Adcock of Mount Zion. She had 12 great-grandchildren and four great-stepgrandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Floyd, one son, Don Adcock, three brothers, two sisters and one grandson, Terry Adcock.
