Born to Thomas and Mae Richman. Parented by aunt Ella and uncle Shirl Potter, following the death of her mother, Mae. Raised in Idaho in a hard working farming family. Pursued a higher education at the University of Idaho. Married Robert L. Beesley from Rexburg. Had four children: Robert Michael, twins Kent (deceased) and Linda and Karen. Moved to California in 1962 for new career opportunity. Worked as an administrative assistant. Owned a travel agency with her second husband, John Lawrence. Developed a love for world travel. Worked at a chocolate factory and the oldest Daily in the West, The Sacramento Union. Inspired a love for reading and education in her children and grandchildren. Influenced her family to be independent free-thinkers.
