MORTON—Mrs. Nellie H. Beemon, 82, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Mississippi Care Center in Morton. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Morton with burial in Two Mile Cemetery. Rev. Joe Crane officiated.

Mrs. Beemon was a native and a longtime resident of Morton. She was a member of Two Mile Baptist church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Mrs. Beemon and her late husband, where active members of the American Legion, Henry Graves Post #1. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Beemon.

Survivors include her children, Jim Beemon of Morton and Jan Reed of

Clinton; one sister, Catherine Phillips of Brandon; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Keith Perritt, Brian Beemon, Arland Phillips, Don Reed, Walter Phillips and Fletcher Wilkerson.

Memorials can be made to Two Mile Baptist Church.
