Fred Edwin Beemon, son of Mrs.
Fred M. Beemom, 3818, 23rd Street,
Meridian, and the late Mr. Beemon,
who served as superintendent of
Decatur Consolidated High School
for four years 1931-35 was rewarded
the title "Mr. Courtesy King" at the
Mississippi State Pharmaceutical
Association meeting held in Biloxi
recently.
After graduating from the Decatur
A. H. S. and the University of
Mississippi, Mr. Beemon spent four
years in the Medical Corps of the
U. S. Army during World War II.
He worked as a pharmacist in Decatur
Drug Store before his service in the
Army. He is now co-owner and manager
of the Beemon and Brent Drug Store,
Maywood Mart, Jackson.
His wife is the former Clementine
Gregory of Okolona, a graduate of
M. S. C. W. and a former Commercial
teacher. They have a son, Fred
Edwin Beemon Jr., and a daughter,
Jean.
