Louise Beddingfield Atchley, 78, a resident of Ardmore Highway, Taft, a former employee of Serbin Fashions, and, along with her husband, George Louis Atchley, owned and operated Atchley Grocery near Taft, died Wednesday (June 12, 1996) at Huntsville Hospital. A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late George Elmore and Donnie Swinford Beddingfield and a member of the Harmony Hill Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Louis Atchley, who died in 1984. Mrs. Atchley is survived by a daughter, Donna A. Clayton of Grant, Alabama; a sister, Mrs. Delma Smith of Fayetteville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home with the Revs. Dan Masters and Terry Gregory officiating. Interment was in Blanche Cemetery.
