HUBBARD – Earl D. Beckner, 85, died Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Hospice House.

He was born Jan. 19, 1929, in Youngstown, a son of Ira and W. Ethyl Johnston Beckner.

Mr. Beckner was a press operator at U.S. Can for over 30 years and was a member of the Central Christian Church. Earl loved gardening and was proud of his garden, was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors and swimming.

His wife, the former, Berneace Conrad, whom he married on March 5, 1983, died April 25, 2005.

He leaves two stepsons, Kenneth Palko of Hubbard and Donald (Sheila) Palko of Chandlersville; two stepdaughters, Susan (James) Powell of Earl Park, Ind. and Brenda (William) Ojendyk of Chicago; six step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Earl's final resting place will be at Corner House Cemetery.
