~~Fred Baecker and Miss Laura Beckmann Married at Brides' Home. ~~
One of the prettiest home weddings of the season on the South Side occurred last night at the home of Mrs. Leopold Beckmann, Fourteenth and Washington, when her daughter, Miss Laura, was married to Fred W. Baecker, of Burton township. The ceremony was performed by Rev J. C. Kranier, pastor of the Salem Evangelical church; Miss Irene Sleer and Carl Baecker attended as brides' maid and best man.
The home was beautifully decorated and a large number of guests, almost all relatives of the principals, were present. Many handsome gifts were presented them, evidencing the high esteem in which the young people are held. The groom resides on his farm near Burton, where he will take his bride and they will go to housekeeping immediately.
