Helen Elizabeth Becker, the youngest daughter of Nicholas and Mary Becker, was born east of Exeter, Neb., May 10, 1907. She passed away at the Friend Hospital Tuesday morning, September 22, 1959.

She attended rural school and St. Stephens Parochial school and was a graduate of Exeter high school. After her graduation, she entered nurse's training in Kansas City, Mo., graduating February 12, 1928.

She practiced nursing in Kansas City and Excelsior Springs, Mo., Omaha and Exeter. She loved infants and small children; and spent many months caring for them in an Omaha orphanage. She also was kindergarten instructor for them.

She worked faithfully with her patients. Her pleasant smile and joking way and tender care brought much comfort in the sick room.

Her parents and sister, Frances preceded her in death.

Survivors are her sister, Margaret; two brothers, Julius of Sacramento, Cal., and Carl of Glendora, Cal.; two nieces and one nephews; and many other relatives.

Services were held Friday morning, September 25, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Pallbearers were cousins and two friends. Burial was in the Exeter Cemetery.
