Calla Elizabeth Beck Vance, 78, of North Carrollton, died of heart failure on June 25, 2001 at her residence. She was retired from Farmers Home Administration and The Peoples Bank and Trust of North Carrollton. She was a member of the North Carrollton United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held June 27 at North Carrollton United Methodist Church. Burial was at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Revs. Trey Harper and Norris Corley officiating.

Mrs. Vance was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Beck. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Bessie Beck of North Carrollton, Rose Beck of Crystal Springs; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Colby Galey, T.J. Nabors, Earnest Sanders, Mitchell Costilow, Claver Blair, George John Shakelford, John Walker Brooks Charles Earl Beck.

Lee Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
