LAUREL — Services for Marian Mallatt, 84, of Laurel will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. William Engebretsen officiating and burial in the Laurel Cemetery. Visitation at the church will be 5-8 p.m. Monday under direction of Hasemann Funeral Home.
She died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Providence Medical Center in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Laurel.

Marian Lorene Mallatt was born April 13, 1928, in Laurel to Earl and Olga (Asmus) Bebee. She attended Laurel Public School and graduated in 1946. Marian was a musician and teacher all of her life, having had a music studio for approximately 60 years, teaching music to students of all ages, mainly voice, piano and organ. Her students went on to many successful careers in other professions and still kept in touch with her on a regular basis.
Marian was baptized into Immanuel Lutheran Church of Laurel on May 6, 1928, and maintained her membership throughout her entire life. She became organist and choir master at Immanuel Lutheran Church and served in that position for over 59 years.
Marian was married to L.J. Mallatt of Laurel in 1948. They enjoyed 63 years and eight months of a wonderful married life.
Marian and L.J. have one daughter, Claudia Dvorak and husband Dennis of Laurel, and two wonderful grandchildren, Alexis of Norfolk and Austin of Laurel.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents and brother Alan E. Bebee.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Sam Recob, Alexis Dvorak, Austin Dvorak, Dr. Lee Dahl, Richard O'Gara and Steve Johnson.
