OBITUARY Iron River Reporter Sep 12 1944 "Beauchamp Funeral Thursday"
The funeral of Albert E. Beauchamp, 53, of Waukegan, Ill. will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 at the Buchanan funeral home and at 9 at St. Agnes church with burial in Resthaven cemetery.
Beauchamp died in Victory Memorial hospital, Waukegan, Saturday afternoon, 10 days after a hernia operation.
He was employed in the Iron River district for 35 years, leaving in 1942 for Waukegan where he worked in a radio shop owned by his son Clifford. For 25 years he was a blacksmith for the Bonifas Lumber company and for another 11 years worked for the Perfecto Tire and Battery shop in Iron River, owned by Thomas Budzak, a brother-in-law.
His hobby was wood carving and he had several displays in the windows of the tire shop, most notable of which was the Goebbels team of horses and a sleigh load of logs.
Born in Detroit on Aug. 22, 1886, he leaves his widow Alice of Waukegan, and nine children, five sons and four daughters. They are Clifford and Hamilton, Waukegan, Raymond, Chicago, Edward, Iron River, and S/Sgt. Herman serving overseas; Mrs. Carl Rich and Mrs. Edward Morgan, Waukegan, Mrs. Munson Roberts, LaPorte, Ind. and Jannette, Waukegan. Other survivors are three brothers, Thomas, Norway, Emil, Detroit and Archie, Iron River, and a sister Mrs. Thomas Budzak, Iron River.
The Daughters of Isabella and the St. Agnes Altar society will recite the rosary at the Buchanan Funeral home Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Pallbearers at the funeral of Albert E. Beauchamp yesterday morning from St. Agnes church were Charles Burnett, Victor Liberty, Wilfred Brooks, Bert Liberty, Ned Beauchamp and George Seamonis.
Beauchamp, 58, died in the Victory Memorial hospital, Waukegan, 10 days after a hernia operation. He was a resident here for 35 years and is survived by relatives here. Burial was in Resthaven cemetery.
