Jean Williams Beasley

Jean Williams Beasley, age 77, a resident of Dothan passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in Pinckard City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Magnolia Free Will Baptist Church, 4062 Mance Newton Rd., Midland City, AL, 36350.

Mrs. Beasley was born on September 27, 1932 in Dale County and resided the early years of her life in Midland City. She resided in Pinckard for 40 years and moved to Dothan in 1989. She was employed for over 30 years in civil service and retired as a GS-13 at Ft. Rucker as a supply analyst. Following her retirement she volunteered with the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Mrs. Beasley was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, the Forsythia Garden Club, the Pinckard Study Club, and was a Senior Adult Sunday School Teacher at Pinckard Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents James Henry and Adele Hutto Williams, her husband Jack W. Beasley, a son Robert (Bob) Bryan Beasley, and a sister Gloria Williams Stephenson.

Survivors include her son Jack Winston Beasley Jr. of Dothan; her sisters, Ann W. Peebles of Abbeville, Shirley W. Leingang of Dothan; nieces and nephews, John T. and Connie Marshall of Abbeville, Jeannie, Jeff and Nicole Bostick of Newville, Jalane and Jimmy Hulsey of Tuscaloosa, Shelley and Taylor Scott of Tuscaloosa, Shannon and David White of Abbeville, Will Hallman of Abbeville, Bruner Stephenson of Birmingham, Shea, Daryl, Camille and Grayson Haupt of Bradenton, FL. Serving as pallbearers will be John T. Marshall, III, Jeff Bostick, David White and Bruner Stephenson.
