Elna Craig Beard, 73, of Goose Creek, SC, formerly of Pasadena, TX, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 28,2011, at a local hospital. She was born in Pritchett,(Upshur County) TX on November 24, 1937, to the late James Presley Craig and Anna Lou Landers. She never met a stranger. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time on the Internet, emailing friends and family, and making cards on her computer for special occasions. She was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by her children: Son, Paul David Gilbert and daughter-in-law, Anitra of Goose Creek,SC, daughter Mary Lou Vaughn, and daughter Martha Steininger and son-in-law Alex; step sons: Steve and Roy Beard of TX; grandchildren: Artina, Jessica, Patricia, Dianna, Larry, Nicholas, and Christina; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held February 1,2011 at Pasadena Funeral Home, 2203 Pasadena Boulevard, Pasadena, TX 77502. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, North Charleston, S.C.
