Charles Thomas "Tack" Beard, 63, Columbia, KY, died Sunday, May 17, 2009, at his home.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at 11:00amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Gene Conover officiating. Burial will be in the Milltown Cemetery, 3190 Milltown Church Road, Columbia, KY (Milltown community). Visitation will be after 4:00pmCT, Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.
He was a son of the late George Edmund and Gertrude Amelia Howey Beard and a former sawmill worker. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Billy Beard, and one sister, Betty Beard.He is survived by the following:
Three brothers: Eddie Beard, Belton, TX; and Donnie and Randy Beard, both of Mooresville, IN
Three sisters: Frances Beard, Linda Bennett, and Reva Taylor, all of Columbia, KY
And several nieces, nephews, and friends.
