Titanic Survivor - born in England the son of George and Mary(Cox); moved to Rochester, New York, and then returned to England to marry Ethel Clarke in March of 1912; boarded the Titanic at age 27 in Southampton to return to New York as second class passengers; one of a dozen "honeymooners" on board, he jumped from the Titanic as it sank on April 15, 1912, and was later pulled into a lifeboat and rescued by the Carpathia, not realizing that Ethel had been saved until reaching New York; member of the Moose Lodge; member of the Bricklayers Union 11; father of Edward Jr. and George; set a policy with his wife of never speaking publicly about the experience.

Out of 160 men in Titanic's second class, you were one of only thirteen who survived. Your wife was one of the few women on that ship who wasn't widowed and I'll bet that you enjoyed the extra 36 years you had together. My best wishes to both of you.
