He was born in Bedminster Township on June 14, 1925, son of the late, Anna Mary Beam.
Alex was employed for McWilliams Forge.
He enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales.
Alex is survived by his loving wife Florence Hydash Beam; a son, Alex Beam, three daughters, Doris, AnnaMae and Carol; two stepsons, Tom and his wife Helen and Anthony and his wife Karen; stepdaughter, Lisa; a sister, Martha; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his dog PeggySue.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his step-father, John Potter.
Funeral services were held Nov. 15 in the DeVoe Funeral Service, Washington. Interment was in Pleasant Hill & Flanders-Hillside Cemetery, Chester. Donations in Alex's memory may be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave., Newton, NJ 07860.
