Obituary for Mr. Clifford Frankie Bazemore
Clifford Frankie Bazemore, 68, of Sylvania passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, GA.

Cliff was born in Millen, GA to the late Eloise Waters and Clifford Frankie Bazemore, Sr. He was a graduate of Screven County High School's class of 1963. He lettered in all sports and was a member of the Gamecock's football championship team. Upon graduation, he attended Middle Georgia College and the University of Georgia. He was employed with Sylvania Ford as a car salesman and also was one of the first employees with Torrington Company, where he served as a supervisor. Following his employment with Torrington, he was an insurance salesman with Woodmen of the World and was the recipient of the Rookie of the Year Award. He then became a self- employed business man whose ventures included a sporting goods shop, a fish market and contracting services. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Sylvania, the Briar Creek Country Club and was a charter member of the Elk's Lodge where he was Exalted Ruler. He will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt, fish, and play golf.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pat Bazemore; a sister, Melanie Bazemore (Jerry L.) Rewcastle, all of Sylvania; a brother-in-law, John Thomas (Linda) Bell, of Douglasville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved beagles, Shiloh and Ginger.

Funeral Services will be Friday, January 17, 2013 at 4:00pm in the Screven Chapel Joiner Anderson Funeral Home with Minister George Pevey officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:30-4:00pm.

Interment will follow in Screven Memorial Cemetery with Pam Reddick-Collins officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chip Bazemore, Bill Mills, Wayne Rountree, Tom McMillan, Fred Jenkins, Alex Mills, and Wallis Lovett.

Honorary pallbearers include Pop's Kitchen Coffee Club and staff, Ward Brinson, and Dr. William Thurmond.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church's Building Fund, care of John Withrow or Douglas Branch Baptist Church's Building Fund, care of Martha Kemp.
