Annie Ruth Bayne (Howington). November 3, 1935 - May 25, 2009. Faithful, kind, gentle, compassionate, selfless and loving. If mere words could illustrate a life, these would paint Annie Ruth's picture best. From her earliest days as a Texas farm girl Annie has filled her days nurturing and caring for those she loved. Her marriage to Richard Bayne in 1958 began a new chapter in Annie's story. They spent the next 50 years together in Glendale, AZ growing a beautiful family of 7 children, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Her love for them demonstrated in everyday simplicities as well as great adventures. No back road was left unexplored. No small detail un-noticed. Children and adults alike were drawn to her sweet spirit. Her years as a dedicated Sunday school teacher, church pianist and caregiver provided the perfect opportunity to share her love and Christ's love with all she met. Today, in Heaven she is able to see how her love has changed the lives of so many. She will be truly missed by those she left behind. Annie Ruth is survived by her husband Richard, children Cheri (Richard Pederson), Mark (Arlene), Connie (Brian Ruddell), Brian, Warren (Kim), Eric and Scott. Grandchildren Jill (Butch), Charlie (Brandi), Christopher, Danny, Daniel, Kevin, Ryan, Joshua, Clariece and Benjamin. Great grandchildren Jena and Broc. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 28, 2009 at the Westridge Baptist Church 6828 W Van Buren St, Phoenix with processional to the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Reception at 3:00 p.m. at Westridge Baptist. Donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley at www.hov.org or 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014. Thank you Hospice for your kind and loving care.
