DANVILLE, Va. - Delia W. Baylor, 86, died Friday, July 15, 2005 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born January 27, 1919, in Milton, N.C., she was a daughter of the late William Patrick Wade and Alice Earp Wade.
She was a graduate of Mary Washington College and taught school in the Danville area for many years before moving to Staunton. She was a faithful member of Central United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Frances Asbury Sunday school class. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, past president of the Staunton District of the United Methodist Women, and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
She was married to the late Harry Baylor Jr., who died December 21, 1988.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by several cousins.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 19 at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.
