She died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000 at home.
Born Feb. 15, 1919 in Baltimore, Md., she was a daughter of the late Paul E. and Mary H. Waltrick Rhinehart. She was the widow of John W. Bay, who died March 16, 1997.
A 1941 graduate of Shippensburg University, she was a retired elementary school teacher for Scotland School for Veterans' Children.
Mrs. Bay was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church and its ELCA, Shippensburg Civic Club, Shippensburg Historical Society, Falling Spring Chapter 2840 of American Association of Retired Persons and Shippensburg University Alumni Association.
She is survived by a son, Thomas W. Bay of Harrisburg; two sisters, Helen Zeichner of Columbia, Md., and Ruth Aughenbaugh of Timonium, Md.; three granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son, John L. "Larry" Bay, and three brothers.
The Revs. Bonnie B. Hoffman and Robert R. Yankovitz will officiate at Monday's service. Private burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.
Friends may call at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday.
