Fannie Brothers Perry Baum, 96, passed away gently on January 9, 2009.

She was born February 11, 1912 to Maggie and Fred W. Brothers, Sr. in Newland, North Carolina, one of eleven children.

She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, and a member of the Pasquotank 4-H Honor Club.

Before becoming a wife and mother, she worked on the nursing staff at Western Maryland College in Westminster, Maryland.

She always wanted to be remembered for her perfect driving record of 74 years with no tickets or accidents.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles W. Perry, Sr., the father of her two children, and Jesse Baum.

She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Perry (Neil Loy), and a son, Charles Perry (Jessica Loose), and 12 grandchildren.

Unselfish in life and unselfish in death, she donated her remains to East Carolina University School of Medicine for anatomical study. The family received friends on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Colington United Methodist Church at 10:30am, followed by a memorial service at 11:30am.

Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted to assist the family.
