Wilma M. Androskaut (Battles) age 98, of Hammond, IN, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Wittenberg Lutheran Village, Crown Point, IN. She is survived by three children: Dennis (Saeko) Androskaut, Larry (Diane) Androskaut, and Nancy Androskaut; six granddaughters: Hitomi (Brian) Hutzell, Elizabeth Androskaut, Susan (Jim) Benner, Allison (Andrew) Stetler, Michelle (Tony) Cavanaugh, and Nicole Langley; eight great-grandchildren: Elinor Wilson, Addy and Gideon Benner, Chase and Sydney Stetler, Paige and Blake Cavanaugh, and Caleb Langley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Albert "Benny" Androskaut; parents, Edward and Edna Battles, her sister Hazel, and brother Harold. Funeral services, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at the Anthony & Dziadowicz Funeral Home, 4404 Cameron Avenue, Hammond (5 blocks W. of Calumet, 1 block N. of Gostlin), 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Casimir Church with Rev. Vladimir Janeczek officiating. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Visitation on Wednesday from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Androskaut was a lifelong Hammond resident. She was a faithful member of St. Casimir Parish. Wilma was a member of the St. Casimir Ladies Rosary Society, St. Casimir Fatima Sodality, and the St. Casimir Seniors who will have services Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. She enjoyed Word Search and Jeopardy. Wilma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother.
