Battle, Samuel Westry: NAVAL CADET DROPS DEAD BEFORE HIS MATES - Annapolis, Feb. 19 - Midshipman Samuel Westry Battle, of the second class at the Naval Academy, and a son of Surgeon Samuel W. Battle, U. S. N., retired, of Asheville, N. C., dropped dead as the brigade of midshipmen were called to dinner formation shortly after 12 o'clock to-day. Young Battle had just taken his place as a third petty officer of the second battalion's ninth company when he was stricken with heart failure.
