Mr. Ronald Leo "Roscoe" Bates, Sr., age 52, of Page, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009. He was born October 23, 1956 in Springfield, Oregon to the late Joffery and Maxine (Bobo) Bates.
Mr. Bates worked for Cambell's Dairy before becoming disabled. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Mr. Bates is survived by: his mother: Maxine Wornick of Norman, Arkansas; his daughter: Crystal Ransleben and husband Erich of Krugerville, Texas; his son: Ronnie Bates, Jr. of Acorn, Arkansas; his grandson: Larsen Ransleben of Krugerville, Texas; his granddaughter: Lauren Ransleben of Krugerville, Texas; his brothers: Lynn Bates and Ivan Bates, both of Acorn, Arkansas, Michael Bates of Texarkana, Texas, and Darryl Bates of Pocahontas, Arkansas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends.
Mr. Bates was preceded in death by his father: Joffery Bates; and a daughter: Ronda Bates.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Bates was laid to rest at the Pine Ridge Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Ronnie Bates, Brandon Bates, Darryl Bates, Ivan Bates, Michael Harvey, and Erich Ransleben.
