Mrs. Leonard Vunk
Mrs. Henrietta Vunk, aged 94, died April 1, in the Clark Nursing Home in Richfield Springs, after an illness of four years.
She was born March 28, 1864, in Westville a daughter of Nelson J. and Lavina (Thayer) Bates. She was married to Leonard Vunk November 3, 1880, in Westville. He died February 9, 1936. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Mrs. Vunk lived in this vicinity all her life.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Lewis Averell of Cooperstown; a son, Nelson F. Vunk of Glens Falls;; four grandchildren; Five great-Grandchildren' four great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Ingalls Funeral Home here with the Rev. Robert H. Sheehan, Cooperstown Methodist pastor officiating. Burial will be in Lake Wood Cemetery.
