Miss Bassett Dies at Home

Miss Phyllis Claire Bassett, 20, was found dead in bed at her home in Edgewood early today, State Police reported.

An inquest verdict was that death was due to natural causes.

Miss Bassett was a niece of Sanford Amos Bassett who died Thursday, apparently of a heart attack, while fighting a fire which destroyed his trailer home in Edgewood. Funeral services for Mr. Bassett were to be held late today at the Edgewood School, Strong-Thorne officials said.

Miss Bassett, who had been attending school in Amarillo, is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bassett of Edgewood; and three brothers, Gordon and Norwyn of Moriarty and Carroll Bassett of Edgewood.

Strong-Thorne will announce funeral services for Miss Bassett.
