Mrs. Elizabeth Bassett Dies At Paris
PARIS — Mrs. Elizabeth Davis Bassett died at 11:15 p. m. Sunday at her home after a long illness.
She had been ill with heart trouble and suffered a stroke Saturday.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p. m. Wednesday at the Christian church of which she was a lifelong member by Dr. A. S. Baillie, pastor, with interment in Walnut Grove cemetery.
She was born August 24, 1864, in Santa Fe, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James B.
Davis, and lived all her life in Monroe county. She was married March 18, 1884, to George B. Bassett, who died a number of years ago. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Winfrey Gregory, Paris; two sons, Ray of Long Beach, Calif., and Fred, of Lincoln, Neb.; six grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
A daughter, Mrs. Louise Conboy, preceded her in death.
