MACON - Louise Bass Barnes, age 89, died June 27, 2004. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 2P.M. at Avondale Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Marty Watson and Rev. Randall Mimbs will officiate.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Houston County, GA and has lived in Macon most of her life. She was a member of Avondale Baptist Church and was retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company. She was the daughter of the late Willie Joe Bass and Bertha McDowell Bass and was the widow of James Benjamin Barnes. She was preceded in death by her brother, Julian Bass.
Survivors include her brothers, Milton Bass, Herbert Bass and Jack Bass all of Macon; sisters, Mildred Parks of Reynolds, GA and Evelyn Fish of Macon; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
