CAMDEN - Funeral services for Lillie Ann Walters Bass, 96, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2003, at Hermitage Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Condy Richardson and Dr. Donald West will officiate. Grandsons, Dray Lloyd, Brent Lloyd, Woodie Dixon, Jimmy Bass, Eddie Baker and Johnny Baker will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2003, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hermitage Baptist Church, 814 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Camden, SC 29020.

Mrs. Bass, widow of John Alexander Bass, died Tuesday, October 14, 2003. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Ellison and Rosa Deas Walters. Mrs. Bass retired from Hermitage Mills and was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church. She was a wonderful Christian lady who touched everyone who knew her. She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are daughters and son-in-law, Dorothy and Woodrow Dixon of Camden, Betty Jo Lloyd of Camden and Myrtle Baker of Lexington; daughter-in-law, Ernestine Bass of Camden; sisters, Rachel Teno of Rock Hill, Doris Catoe, Mary Ellen Adams and Eva White of Lancaster; brother, Allen Walters of Lancaster; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James "Pumpy" Bass; two sisters; three brothers; three great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter.
