She was the wife of the late Clarence C. Bashore, who died Dec. 2, 2002. Born in Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Eva (Schaeffer) Wagner. She was raised by the late Fred and Sally (Reber) Wagner.
A farmer's wife, Edna was a long time member of the Berks County Farm Women. She also worked for Marco Electronics and the Bernville Wire Company.
She enjoyed long trips with her husband and her sugar cookies are legendary. She loved playing cards and other games. The children and grandchildren were all taught how to play pinochle and dominoes. Dementia robbed her of her ability to play games, but she never lost her interest in and love of people and cats.
Always smiling, she was dearly loved by all who knew her and is deeply missed.
She is survived by a son, Clayton Bashore, Key West, Fla.; two daughters, Marion B., wife of Thomas Haas, Columbia, S.C., and Ann Susan, wife of Richard Fronk, Bethel, Pa.; a half-brother, Barry Wagner, Adamstown; a half-sister, Mary Hower, Elkland, Pa.; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 15th, at Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg. A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, and 9-10:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Frystown Cemetery.
