Miss Cindy Lou Barwick, age 13, was accidently killed during the holiday week-end at Raccoon Lake. She was water skiing, Sunday, behind a boat pulled by her father when she fell. She was caught in the propeller of another boat.
She is the step-daughter of Eddie Hines, 4219 Santa Fe Court, Indianapolis, and step-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hines of Lizton.
Survivors include the mother, Mrs. Eddie Hines; father, Norman Barwick; a sister, Carla Barwick; two brothers, Kelly and Bryan Barwick, all of Indianapolis; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Barwick, Mrs. Harriet Pitman and Berl Pittman; and step-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Warmouth.

Five accidental deaths, including two in separate accidents on Raccoon Lake in Parke County, were reported in Indiana over the Memorial Day weekend.
Indiana State Police said Cindy Lou Barwick, 13, 4219 Santa Fe Court, was waterskiing Sunday (May 25, 1975) behind a boat piloted on Raccoon Lake by her stepfather, Edward Hines, when she dropped the tow rope and then was struck by a motorboat operated by Stephen W. Anderson, 17, Lafayette.
Anderson told police he did not see the girl until he was five feet from her.
Services for the girl, a seventh-grader at Decatur Junior High School, will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in the Conkle Lyndhurst Funeral Home. Burial will be in the K of P Cemetery at Lizton.
She was a native of San Antonio, Tex., and lived here seven years.
Survivors, in addition to her stepfather, include her mother, Mrs. Edward Hines; her father, Norman Barwick of Chicago; two sisters, Carla and Kelly Barwick of Indianapolis; a brother, Bryan Barwick of Indianapolis; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Barwick of Warsaw, N.C., Mrs. Harriet Pitman of Greenwood and Beryl Pittman of Jasonville.
