A native of Talbot, she lived at Judyville most of her life, and was a graduate of Judyville High School.
She resided at Freeland Park five years where she was employed as a telephone operator.
In 1950 she moved to Lafayette, and entered the Veterans Home in 1972.
In 1920 she was married in Warren County to Clyde Auter, a farmer. He died in 1935.
Mrs. Auter was a member of Judyville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Hulon (Viola) Hodge of Kings Mountain, Ky.; Mrs. George (Violet) Brown of Monitor, Mrs. George (Betty) Overley of Lafayette and Mrs. Don (Verna) Bartlett of Muncie; and one sister, Mrs. Charles (Agnes) Reynolds of Rt. 2, Attica.
