SPRINGFIELD - Florin E. "Bart" Barton, 92, of Springfield died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

He was born Oct. 4, 1912, in Springfield, the son of Roland Isaac and Rose Jouett Barton.

He married Vivian Vancil in 1937 in Springfield.

Mr. Barton retired from Muscular Dystrophy Association and had also worked at Illinois Presbyterian Home.

He was a member and worthy patron of Lalla Rookh Chapter 218 Order of the Eastern Star; life member of Central Lodge 71 AF&AM; master of ceremonies of the Harvard Park Minstrel Show; and a member of Ansar Shrine, Stephen A. Douglas Chapter Order of DeMolay and Third Presbyterian Church, where he was a deacon and elder.

Survivors: wife, Vivian; two daughters; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three nephews.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Karen Alsup officiating.

Burial: Roselawn Memorial Park.
