Ernest Barton Dies Unexpectedly
Ernest Barton, 67, living west of Salem, passed away suddenly from a heart attack Wednesday about 8 a.m. in the home od James Reece near Four Corners north of Lockridge.
Mr. Barton, when his car ran out of gas, went to the Reece home to obtain some gas. Upon returning to the car, he found it I the ditch. Evidently he had forgotten to put on the brake. He returned to the Reece home and dropped dead in the kitchen.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Walter at home and Emmett at New London, a brother, Albert of Fairfield.
Funeral service will be held at the Stevens funeral home in Salem, Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Salem East cemetery.
